Milang

Milang, a charming lakeside town, boasts a rich history as a bustling river port. In the 19th century, it served as a vital link between the agricultural hinterland and the bustling port city of Adelaide. The town's strategic location on the shores of Lake Alexandrina made it a prime location for trade and commerce.

Steamboats plied the waters, carrying goods such as wool, wheat, and timber to and from the city. The town's waterfront was a hive of activity, with warehouses, jetties, and bustling wharves. The historic buildings that line the streets of Milang are a testament to its past glory, offering a glimpse into the town's maritime heritage.
